Meet Dr. Roy
Dr. Barnali Roy grew up in Southern California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. After college, she spent one year doing research in Boston at Harvard Medical School. She then went on to obtain her doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she was honored with an Award for Academic Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry.
During dental school, Dr. Roy realized her passion for working with children. She completed a postdoctoral residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital. During residency, she gained extensive experience in working with children with special healthcare needs, craniofacial anomalies, interceptive orthodontics, and treatment with IV and oral sedation. Dr. Roy is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Meet Our Team
Jessica grew up in the Bay Area and she has been in dentistry since 2013. While going to school to become a Registered Nurse, Jessica interned for a practice that included both medical and dental. She fell in love with the dental field, and has been a part of it ever since! Aside from being in the dental field, Jessica enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, interior design and spending time with her husband, step-son, family and friends.
Sophia is an East Bay native who recently graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a BS in Biology. While studying there, she started working at a dental office and quickly discovered her passion for dentistry. She hopes to become a dentist in the future and continue making patients smile. Aside from dentistry, she enjoys staying active, cooking, doing arts and crafts, and tending to her plants.
Registered Dental Assistant
Ashley grew up in the Bay Area and she has been in dentistry as a RDA since 2012. She loves working with kids and currently working towards her long time goal of obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree as well as in her spare time volunteers for the California Dental Association (CDA) Foundation. Outside of dentistry, Ashley enjoys traveling, arts and crafts, hiking, and spending time with her son, family and friends.
Registered Dental Assistant
Josephine was raised in the East Bay. She has experience as a DA for two years in general dentistry and RDA for two and a half years in pediatrics. She graduated in Diablo Valley College with AS in Dental Assisting, Allied Health, and Natural Science. She is pursuing her passion in the dental hygiene field. On the side, she loves to sing, play guitar, exercise, and get together with family and friends.
My name is Melissa Vargas, I was born and raised in Sonoma County. I am currently making the transfer to Diablo Valley College with hopes of earning an AS in Dental Assisting and continuing working towards becoming a Dental Hygienist. Besides going to school I enjoy drives to the beach, photography, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Buddy is our Certified Office Therapy Dog. He is a Chiwoxy (a mix between a Wired Hair Terrier and a Chihuahua). Buddy received his certification through the Canine Good Citizen course. He is sweet, gentle, and loves to snuggle! He has helped many of our patients feel more at ease, so please let us know if you would like to meet or cuddle with him during your visit! 🙂
